BLINDED BY PROBLEMS

Text: Gen. 44-46, Luke 18

Rhema Verse: Genesis 45:8. So it was God who sent me here, not you! And he is the one who made me an adviser to Pharaoh—the manager of his entire palace and the governor of all Egypt.

Luke 18:41. “What do you want me to do for you?”  “Lord,” he said, “I want to see!”

Message: Many times when people face problems they get blinded by the situation and starts to panic, especially for a melancholic like me. But it is God who gives wisdom to see beyond what is happening, and what He is doing, just like in the time of Joseph. But it was clear that even though I could be in panic, distressed or drowning in my self-inflicted anxiousness, I could ask God like the blind beggar in the street to 'see'. See God's promises of salvation prepared for me.

Promise: God is always asking and waiting to do wonders for me. "What do you want me to do for you?"

Ask everything in my name, and my Father will give it to you so your joy will be complete -Jesus.  John 14:13

Command: When facing challenges, Stop-Look-Listen just like the blind beggar. Stop your negative thoughts, Look at what God is preparing, Listen to His directions.

Warning: Being blinded by too many negative thoughts and fearing things only created by your mind will stop you from getting your miracle!!!

Application: The night before my youngest birthday, while I was packing loot bags for his party I was being anxious with 1.2M, I needed to pay for the stocks so it could arrive here in the country. As part of being a melancholic a 'thinker' I exhausted my mind where I can get that amount; for we have already paid 2/3 of that 3 months ago and the stocks needed to be paid in full to arrive. And so I counted first, every chocolate for the loot bags and calculated how many loot bags I can make; 150 divided by 3 is 50 (I rechecked twice) While I was picking each chocolate my mind is counting and sorting and I begun to pray. I said, "Lord what if the children were more than 50, they haven't eaten this kind of chocolates yet, can you make it 70? Just like what You did with the 5 loaves of bread and 2 fishes that fed 5,000 men not counting women with leftover." I was sure my heart began to feel joy in my heart and went on counting and putting in chocolates to the loot bags. When my back begun to feel a little achy, and seeing little chocolates left in the bed, I started to count how many loot bags I made, I bundled them by 10 bags, and my tears began to fell when I counted I already made 50 and there's more in the bed... I counted every visible bags 55, 60, 69 and when I saw the last loot bag beneath the pillow I wept aloud. I heard what God said to me, Nerie, if I can do this with chocolates I can definitely do this in your finances. What a great God we have... All we need is to be like the beggar so bold to ask.

You Are Mine

DAY 82

TEXT: Numbers 2-3

Rhema Verse: Numbers 3:13 “for all the firstborn are mine. When I struck down all the firstborn in Egypt, I set apart for myself every firstborn in Israel, whether human or animal. They are to be mine. I am the Lord.”

MESSAGE:

         Many people fail in their life, relationship, career, and marriage because they DO NOT feel they belong. There are many absentee fathers, though you see them but you feel they are not. You cannot approach and feel the closeness you need. You still feel alone.

         But God is saying You Are Mine! You are God’s property! You are under His care and love! You are His beloved… He preserved your life; He knitted you in your mother’s womb. You are fearfully and wonderfully made in HIS image. He gave His One and ONLY Son so he can call you MINE! HE has a plan to prosper you and not to harm you! Wow! Thank you LORD!

PROMISE: I am GOD’s firstborn when I believed and received Jesus Christ in my life! I am entitled to ALL God’s blessings

COMMAND: Receive God’s favor as firstborn.

WARNING:

APPLICATION: I am Yours and You are Mine forever, Lord. No longer should I look for somebody’s attention or approval. All I need is that I know I make You smile.

The Lord My Provider

DEEVO DAY 80

TEXT: Leviticus 23-25

Rhema Verse: Leviticus 25:20

You may ask, “What will we eat in the seventh year if we do not plant or harvest our crops?”

MESSAGE:

         The LORD wants us to rest, that’s’ why HE rested on the seventh day. HE always wants to show us that HE is the ONE who will provide for us. A lot of people thought that without their eagerness, without their wisdom, without their strength they would not have their success.  So people are always anxious WHAT WILL WE EAT IF I DON’T WORK? The LORD knew that we will think this way. And HE gave a promise for those who will rely on his love.

PROMISE: I will send you such a blessing in the sixth year that the land will yield enough for three years. While you plant during the eighth year, you will eat from the old crop and will continue to eat from it until the harvest of the ninth year comes in.

COMMAND: BELIEVE and RECEIVE!

WARNING: (Leviticus 26:14) But if you will not listen to me then I will do this to you: I will bring on you sudden terror, wasting diseases and fever that will destroy your sight and sap your strength. You will plant seed in vain, because your enemies will eat it. I will set my face against you so that you will be defeated by your enemies; those who hate you will rule over you.

APPLICATION: I am guilty of these for so many years. Because I failed to see that it is the LORD who gave EVERYTHING to us; our breath, strength, our jobs, wisdom, favor etc.  Praise GOD it is not too late for me! HE woke me up. It is not my husband, not my family or not even me, who takes care of my children - it is the LORD. I thank the LORD for He taught me how we do these devo, we learned to rely on the Father’s love.

PSEJ Dome Papaya

TEXT: Leviticus 19-22

Rhema Verse: Leviticus 20:26 “You are to be holy to me because I, the Lord, am holy, and I have set you apart from the nations to be my own.”

MESSAGE: WOW! I am set apart from the nations. Whenever GOD looks at the nations, from all the tribes and towns, among millions and millions of people; GOD is looking at me :) Wow!

        

PROMISE: I am righteous and holy by the blood of Jesus Christ!

COMMAND: You are to be holy

WARNING: Do not defile yourself

APPLICATION: How can you not defile yourself?

1.       Rely on the Holy Spirit for He is our Great teacher, comforter and the giver of wisdom – Wisdom teaches the fear of the Lord (Proverbs 15:33) so we can distinguish clean from unclean.

2.       Receive the gift of righteousness through the Cross, this is the greatest proof of the love of our Heavenly Father. If you do so, you can reign over your self, over any temptation, over any problems,

YOU can reign in life.

I AM CLEAN!

TEXT: Levi 13-14

Rhema Verse: Levi 13:45 ““Anyone with such a defiling disease must wear torn clothes, let their hair be unkempt, cover the lower part of their face and cry out, ‘Unclean! Unclean!’ As long as they have the disease they remain unclean. They must live alone; they must live outside the camp.

MESSAGE:

         Leprosy is the most dreaded disease in the Bible. A leper shed their skin, lost their fingers and toes. They must leave their family, and live alone outside the camp, they should cry out, “Unclean! Unclean!” when people saw them so those people can ran away! I imagine how miserable, hopeless and lonely they must have felt. Anyone who touches them will be unclean, so NOBODY dares to touch or even get close.

         But when Jesus came: a man with leprosy boldly begged and knelt to Jesus saying, “if you are willing you can make me clean.” And you know what Jesus did? (Mark 1:40-42) Unlike ALL the people: the leper’s family, children, neighbors, JESUS moved with compassion TOUCHED him and said, “I AM WILLING, BE CLEAN!”

         No matter what situation we are now, JESUS is willing to make us whole, to make everything NEW because JESUS loves us. No matter how dirty or filthy you may think you are, undeserving, we just need to ask Him to come and cleanse us. JESUS is willing to give HIS life for us, how much more anything we need: solution to our problems, provisions, restoration of our relationships with others.

PROMISE: JESUS is willing to make us clean

COMMAND: SAY: I am CLEAN! I am CLEAN! Jesus made me clean!

WARNING:

APPLICATION: JESUS is always willing to make me clean. But I need to be willing and ask Him boldly to cleanse me from anything.

DON’T GET BURNED

DAY 76

TEXT: Levi 9-12

Rhema Verse: Levi 10:1-2 “Aaron’s sons Nadab and Abihu took their censers, put fire in them and added incense; and they offered unauthorized fire before the Lord, contrary to his command. So fire came out from the presence of the Lord and consumed them, and they died before the Lord.

MESSAGE:

         Rule #1: God is just. Whenever we our tempted to think that He is not in some situations; always refer to rule #1 – God is just. He knows our deepest thoughts, our past, present and future. He is the beginning and the end. Many times, we think of our ‘Own ways’ and not obey God’s ways, that’s why we get into trouble and get burned.

         At this time, God is making SOP on how to worship and purify the whole people of Israel. The LORD wants to dwell in His holy nation and the priests were held responsible for our atonement. He made a way to purify them through animal sacrifices. While God is displaying His glory and all the people fell and worship. Aaron sons, who were drunk, got incense and fire from other source, not on God’s temple as He prescribed (the keeper of the incense is Moses). These appointed priests took their own way of worshipping, and took the presence of God lightly. Imagine the outcome of the first batch of disobedient priests passing their ways to the next and next generations. Result: super pasaway na priests. So GOD had to do it to show HIS people.

PROMISE: GOD knows what HE is doing in our lives, we just need to trust and obey.

COMMAND: Trust and Obey

WARNING: Doing your OWN ways will get you burned

APPLICATION: As children, our parents are very happy when we obey. Obedience is the highest form of our worship to GOD. We need to hear what the Holy Spirit wants us to do everyday. I thank the Lord for His grace, for NOW we can worship boldly, so DON’T HOLD BACK.

KEEP THE FIRE BURNING

DAY 75

TEXT: Lev 6-8

Rhema Verse: Leviticus 6:13 “The fire must be kept burning on the altar continuously; it must not go out.”

MESSAGE: Fire burns and consumes any thing on it. The sacrifices offered for our sins must be kept burning day and night by the priests of the Old Testament to consume it all.

God is holy, and he doesn’t want bad things, hurts, pains, guilt for us - His holy people. Today, the Holy Spirit is our fire from heaven. No longer we have to go to the temple to make our sin offerings consumed by fire, kasi kapag namali ng paraan ng pag-offer pa ung priests na tao, your offering would be in vain.

In Acts, the Holy Spirit came in tongues of fire. If the Holy Spirit is upon you, He will be the One consuming all our weaknesses and keeping the fire of love burning in our hearts. The Holy Spirit’s fire needs pang-gatong to keep it burning, yun yung Word of God. When we read the Word the fire in our hearts is fierce and can consume anything.

PROMISE: Fire from the Lord – the Holy Spirit is upon us.

COMMAND: Fire must be kept burning.

WARNING: Without fire we cannot continue effectively

APPLICATION: Based on my observation, when I misss the Word or prayer time daily, ang bilis kong mag-apoy – mabilis  mag-init ng ulo. Kaya, I therefore conclude we need the Word and HIS presence daily.. :)
