Three Times Is Not A Charm

DAY 157
TEXT: Numbers 20-22

Rhema Verse: Numbers 22:33 "The donkey saw me and turned away from me these three times. If it had not turned away, I would certainly have killed you by now, but I would have spared it.”

MESSAGE:  There were times I experienced warning signs and I took it lightly, ended up in financial problems in business. Those were the days that I have slight regard with the Word of God, wala pa kami sa G-12 process, hindi pa naexperience mag-devo. Itis very true that if you need success in every area of our lives, GOD must be the main center of it, for His blessings does not have sorrow in it.

Balaam received many warnings from God personaly, God said, "DO NOT GO! You cannot curse who is blessed." He did not go the first time. The second time, the king's officials bait him with handsome rewards v17 ;) (Gaano kaya kahandsome yun?) :D and the Lord who sees the heart of every man tested Balaam, and told him to go 20:20. But on v22 when Balaam came to them God was angry. I wondered why, I asked God. And He told me, He saw Balaam's heart. He was lured by the kings reward, he looked beyond God's provisions, and his heart was after wordly wealth and fame who brings sorrow BIG TIME!

And so, the THREE warnings came from the DONKEY!!!! Mind you, donkey speaking!!! Still he persisted! The angel of the Lord was about to kill Balaam kasi nga makulit, he wanted to see the handsome rewards despite of never-before-seen warnings! My man! Donkey speaking!?!

And there were times I thought that, what I was doing was 100% right, but then God would come to me and put my heart and motives in check. What an awesome God we have! So when there are warnings from God, I learned to listen carefuly because the Lord knows ABSOLUTELY EVERYTHING. How does God speaks to us?! Through the Bible, through our parents, pastors, donkeys anyone? ;)
Promise: God directs the paths of His people.  Those whom God blessed, cannot be cursed! I am blessed by God!

Command: Open your eyes!!!! Num 22:31

Warning: Be careful not to walk YOUR way, be very careful to ONLY walk God's ways.

Application: Today, there was some constant nagging on a decided matter in the office and it has fallen on me. CONSTANT NAGGING on me by a very very important someone I looked up to. Anyways, I was about to think negatively, and be hurt and start to talk back; but the Lord reminded me Balaam. Whoa! Reminders are painful sometimes ;) but thank God for the reminders for it keeps our hearts in tune with God. If Balaam listened to God and relied on it, he shouldnt have faced the reckless road he went into.

Testing Produces Faith

DAY 125
TEXT: Gen 26-28

Rhemaverse: Gen 26:22 He moved on from there and dug another well, and no-one quarrelled over it. He named it Rehoboam, saying, "Now the Lord has given us room and we will flourish in the land."

Message: Isaac received direction from the Lord to where he should encamp and that he would be blessed as He promised his father Abraham. But as he was living in where the Lord wanted him to live, disputes and problems came two times. But instead of doubting God's promise to him, he pressed on, and on the third time he get what he expected - God's blessings. Faith will be tested a lot of times, many times problems will be a precursor to God's ultimate reward if I just hold on and not let go of His promise.

Promise: If I hear God's directions and believe in His promises, our life will never be the same again.

Command: Hold on to God's promises. be steadfast

Warning: Don't complain in times of testing, LEARN!

Application: Many times I tend to be stressed-out on problems, but in the end I will realize that if those things did not happen, I wouldn't be able to receive the blessings I am receiving now. Lord, I need more of Your discernment, to see Your hand always working in my every situation.

TOTAL RELIANCE

DAY 120
TEXT: 2 SAMUEL 4-5

Rhema Verse: 2 Samuel 5:18-19 Now the Philistines had come and spread out in the Valley of Rephaim; so David inquired of the Lord, “Shall I go and attack the Philistines? Will you deliver them into my hands?”

MESSAGE: David was already a mighty warrior, a great man with a kingdom already established by God. But his great strength?! –his TOTAL and COMPLETE reliance on the Lord. He is not to “show-up” to people, he was up to please and obey God alone. And the LORD gave him GREAT SUCCESS.

PROMISE: The LORD gave King David great success and HE is the same Lord who will do it to ME.

COMMAND: Rely and inquire on the LORD.

WARNING: If I rely on myself or other people but not God, I will receive pain and defeat. There is NO Greater power than God.

APPLICATION: I want David’s success LORD! You promoted him because he was completely broken before you, he realized that not his strength or his power but YOUR SPIRIT alone will grant him everything he desires. Teach me Lord, in Jesus name.

A GREAT LOSS

DAY 119
TEXT: 2 SAMUEL 1-3 1-5

Rhema Verse: 1 SAMUEL 3:8a Abner was very angry because of what Ish- Bosheth said. So he answered, “Am I a dog’s head —on Judah’s side?...”

MESSAGE:
All throughout this chapter it showed the reasoning and the outcome of disobedience of Joab and Abner to their leaders. And it brought curses and death even for their generations to come. Joab and Abner was might warriors of their leaders, they sworn loyalty, but loyalty wasn’t enough but obedience and submission.

PROMISE:  If I learn to obey and submit to God and authorities he ordained for me (parents, pastor, boss, government) the Lord will make me stronger and give me honor like David.

COMMAND: Full obedience and submission to my leaders.

WARNING:  Consequences for disobedience

APPLICATION: I have always prayed to be like King David. He perceived Saul even if we were after his life. And because Saul disobeyed God the leadership was lifted up from his and was given by God to David. I believe as I pray, you will do miracles in my life Lord. Let Your Glory change me everyday. I receive it Lord, in Jesus name!

THIRST THAT CANNOT BE QUENCHED

DAY 106
TEXT: JUDGES 1-4

Rhema Verse: Judges 3:10 The Spirit of the Lord came on him, so that he became Israel’s judge and went to war.

MESSAGE: Othniel conquered a land in exchange for Caleb’s daughter for marriage. Then, He asked his wife to ask his father Caleb for springs of water. Spring of water symbolizes the Holy Spirit, Othniel is a man that cannot be quenched, he wants more of God’s presence. He knew there’s something more in stored for him.  After Israel’s rebellion God raised Othniel and filled him and became Israel’s judge and gave them peace for forty years. If we are filled with the Spirit of God we will thirst no more for earthly things but to the presence of God alone.

PROMISE: Peace for those with the Spirit of God

COMMAND: Thirst for God!

WARNING:  Rebellion brings desolation.

APPLICATION: I need to get ready my heart and my life to be filled in an EXTRA-ordinary, definitely a WHOLE NEW LEVEL of God’s presence, revelation and directions! The THIRST that should not be quenched is the longing for God’s presence in my life everyday.
